I thought you'd be happy to hear how things went overseas, so this is just a short report to let everyone know I'm now back in Australia & to let you know how I went after being selected as one of seven riders chosen to represent Australia over in Britain for the 2007 FEI World Para Equestrian Dressage Championships. I had a very successful time away. Plus a very eventful trip as we were hit with torrential rain & flooding for most of the month we were over there. They even had to have the food for the World Champ's event brought in by helicopter at one stage as we were trapped in by the rising waters. They apparently had over a month's worth of rain fall in 24hours. Training went really well for the month away in the UK, as well as my competition results, as I was partnered with the chestnut gelding Worleston Billy, who had been sourced & selected by the Australian coach Mary Longden, & owned by Judy, who was a very supportive & helpful owner. Judy was thrilled with our results at each competition.
and a 6th in the Team Test.
Plus I was one of the four riders selected to represent Australia in the Teams Event & in that event we (Australia) placed 7th overall.
Plus out of all the competitors in the World Championships, I was the only rider on a borrowed horse to achieve a medal result.

At the World Championships
my results were:
Friday 20 July 2007 FEI PE Grade 1b Team Test 69.176% 6th
Saturday 21 July 2007
Sunday 22 July 2007

We also competed in two other local/regional competitions whilst over in the UK before we went to the World's event & I did very well at those events too.
At the first event at Myerscough College on 11 July 2007 my results were: FEI PE Grade 1b Short Test 70.94% 1st FEI PE Grade 1b Team Test 71.76% 2nd/3rd
c———————————————d
Then at the second event at Heart of England Equestrian Centre on the 15 July 2007 my results were: FEI PE Grade 1b Individual Championship Test 72.38% 1st FEI PE Grade 1b Freestyle to Music Test 79.4% 1st And I was awarded 2 out of the 3 trophies awarded for the day. Plus I had the highest score for the day of the whole event including para & able -bodied riders after getting a personal best score of 79.4% for my freestyle test.

I'm now back in Australia & things are still busy. I'm travelling between Bathurst & Raymond Terrace (approx. 5 hour drive) to train on my horse Nikshar Nomination with my new coaches Carlos De Cleermaecker & Melinda Morris, to get prepared for my next major event which is the 2007 RDAA National Para Dressage Championships run in conjunction with an International Paralympic Qualifier CPDI4* event in October at Werribee, VIC.
So I'm now trying to do more fundraising & looking for more sponsors, because the higher the level I reach, the higher the bills are getting. And now I'm so close I don't want to fail due to the lack of funds.
I will hopefully get to update my website soon with a better report on my trip, along with more photos & results from over there, but it may be a little while before I can get it all up online, due to my constant traveling for training, which is why I thought this short report would be a good idea.

Plus to be the only Australian to medal at the World Championships, I felt very honored.
Hope to catch up properly soon. And don't forget to keep checking out my website here & there to see the latest updates.. N.K c———————————————d Also: This report is for personal purposes only.
