Follows Nicole's experience of representing Australia in the 2008 Paralympic Games Equestrian - Dressage Events held in Hong Kong.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Nikshar Nomination Apparently there has been some confusion in the media reporting me as a Victorian resident. But no I'm from NSW. Our home was & still is, in Rock Forest, N.S.W, as it has been for the last few years & I'm very proud to be born & raised in N.S.W all my life.

However, yes, Mum & I were TEMPORARILY at a Victorian residence for a while

(April - Aug 2008) whilst we were there having to train & be closer to the National

Coach who was located in Bunyip, VIC.

But the whole time we were in VIC we still had our HOME in N.S.W & continued to be residents of N.S.W not VIC.

Also, thank you to all those Victorian's I met who took me in as one of their own whilst we were there, even though I was from N.S.W. You'll never be forgotten :)

Welcome Tea Ceremony with the Paralympic Village - Hong Kong's Mayor & the Australian Team

Welcome Tea Ceremony with the Paralympic Village - Hong Kong's Mayor, welcoming the entire Australian Equestrian Team to Hong Kong & the Games. There were also gifts exchanged between the Mayor & AUS

Trying on the Caps that were given to the every Team member as welcoming gifts. Also given was a matching t-shirt.

The interesting looking tea & food we were offered at the Welcoming Tea Ceremony. All the glasses of tea had different types of floral additives sitting in the glass & looked great..

This was also the first day I (Nicole) had been outside of the Village building. So it was the first time I got to feel the extreme heat & humidity conditions outdoors away from the air conditioning inside.

It was REALLY hot & sticky!
